Oh, you can see the alibi the moon casts a glare, an everlasting stare on your might and it seems a fickle fantasy to look up from the clouds and see you're right but light plays a mean game, you come back down it's all the same as it once was But on that fateful day when we all could stay and proceed at any other time it's just a holiday "it's a shame" you'd say to proceed at any other time Plate-glass and pine strum along it's fine to your symphony A train set for south will make it's way around eventually But on that fateful day when we all could stay and proceed at any other time it's just a holiday "it's a shame" you'd say to proceed at any other time

These empty walls have no conscience that another day is gone if it's any consolation these walls will fall so if I make a new drink then I'll sit back down there's no way that beyond these wall the world keeps on spinning around I'll take some time to ease my worried mind because I fear it's running away and I'll sit back down and take a deep breath but it's the same everyday so if I make a new drink then I'll sit back down there's no way that beyond these wall the world keeps on spinning around

No lyrics here bud, it literally says Instrumental in the title.

You and I are going to build a house ten feet tall and twenty around and when the space is all used up, and we've given out all our stuff you and I are going to build a house and with rain pellets dancing over our heads we'd count the ripples on the river instead instead of listening to ourselves we can listen to the melt of the snow-capped mountains overhead It's just the way you'd laugh, darling and just the way you are and if you want to wake up in the middle of nowhere I promise it won't be too far I say we start building in Hokkaido find some space with the mountains around and we can go just you and me find some Sushi there by the sea is there even an ocean near Hokkaido (yep, I looked it up. There definitely is. "Wait," you say "that sounds like a bore I've found a little grass shack in the Azores and if you never even mentioned hiking, kayaks, the surf and biking what the hell are we even moving for?" It's just the way you'd laugh, darling and just the way you are and if you want to wake up in the middle of nowhere I promise it won't be too far

We'll you'd think, wait by the bar and you'd drink, look at her from afar but you won't sing songs for Unicorns and she'd walk, glancing over so quickly as she talks with guys who aren't so picky what she wants is a Song for Unicorns and if you wait just a little and she waits just a little bit more there'll be time by the restless morn for scribbling down pictures and lyrics and more songs for unicorns you're getting too brave, and you pick up your arrow and you wave but the space is just too narrow, between bodies and your arrow falls to the floor a smile on her lips, as she continues walking so you missed, another time to start talking but she slips on an arrow that's never been there before and if you wait just a little and she waits just a little bit more there'll be time by the restless morn for scribbling down pictures and lyrics and more songs for unicorns

about

After the release of my first solo album (Mild Card) I wanted to make a clean slate to start fresh. B-Sides & Takeouts is my way of getting rid of all the other songs I've had written over the years.

Enjoy!
-Isaac.
